Received top score on Disability Equality Index

For the fourth year in a row, McKesson was named a 'Best Place to Work' for Disability Inclusion. McKesson earned a top-ranking score of 100 on the 2019 Disability Equality Index®(DEI), a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability:IN.

'I am proud of the progress our team members have made over the years to create a more inclusive environment for our employees with disabilities, as our goal is for all employees to have a true sense of belonging,' said Traci Dunn, vice-president of Inclusion, Diversity and Culture at McKesson. 'We're thrilled as this is the first year we've achieved 100%. This recognition is a testament to our employee resource group, ABILITY, that has led the charge to expand our policies and practices and offer more opportunities to educate and build awareness.'

The DEI is based on an annual survey that measures an organization's adoption of inclusive policies and practices for people with disabilities. The Index has become a nationally recognized benchmarking report for businesses to gauge their level of workplace inclusion. To earn a score of 100%, companies must display best-in-class commitments to culture and leadership, accessibility, employment practices, community engagement, and supplier diversity.

McKesson is continually improving its support of employees with disabilities and their allies and caregivers. Employee resource groups like ABILITY play a day-to-day role in the lives of employees, advocating for their needs. Recently, the company expanded ABILITY's presence - launching new chapters in Las Colinas, TX, Richmond, VA and The Woodlands, TX and growing its membership base.

'In this country, disability unfortunately still remains in the shadows. That's why I'm proud to be at McKesson where I have the opportunity to attract, engage, include and bring more visibility to employees with disabilities (and caregivers of individuals with disabilities) to help reduce ongoing stigma and discrimination,' said Aaron Bone, co-chair of McKesson's ABILITY employee resource group. 'We would not have achieved a top score without the tireless support of the ABILITY ERG, our HR Business partners, and all of our employee members.'

McKesson has also been named a 'Military Friendly Employer' for four years in a row by GI Jobs and recognized as a 'Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality' by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation.
