Merck KGaA said Wednesday that it has acquired France-based Resolution Spectra Systems.

The German pharmaceutical and chemicals company didn't disclose financial details for the acquisition.

Resolution Spectra Systems specializes in bioprocessing monitoring sensors based on Raman technology to measure a range of bioprocessing parameters, such as glucose, lactate, viable cell density and others in real time and simultaneously with a single probe, Merck KGaA said.
