Metro : PHA welcomes cooperation of public, private sector

Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) on Friday welcomed cooperation of the government and semi-government agencies in the tree planting campaign for a green and clean Lahore is welcome.

In order to make the tree planting campaign in the city a success, public and private institutions are in constant touch to get involved. Trees and plants play an important role in controlling environmental pollution.

PHA is moving forward with dedication to meet the target of the second phase of tree planting.

Parks and Horticulture Authority and Metro Cash and Carry jointly organized a tree planting ceremony at Jilani Park.

PHA is working for Prime Minister Imran Khan's Vision Clean and Green Pakistan. Chairman PHA Engineer Yasir Gilani said that in order to make the tree planting campaign in the city a success, public and private institutions are in constant touch for regular involvement while planting of new plants with shady and fruit trees is being planned across the city.

Vice Chairman PHA Hafiz Zeeshan Rasheed said that in today's artificial environment, tree planting is an important need of the hour. Trees and plants play an important role in controlling environmental pollution.

Speaking on the occasion, DG PHA Muzaffar Khan said that PHA is moving forward with 'one-sidedness and dedication' to meet the target of second phase of tree planting. The care of the plants planted in the campaign will also be ensured.

DG PHA Muzaffar Khan added that he would like to thank all the officials of Metro Cash and Carry who participated in the tree planting and provided plants.
