Mosaic is a committed steward of environmental resources, and that includes measuring, reducing and recycling the water we use. We also look for ways to share and implement sustainable water practices in the communities where we operate.

On World Environment Day, Mosaic Fertilizantes announced 10 winning projects of the Water Call for Bids - a program created earlier this year to benefit the population and the environment through research and effective initiatives in the management of water resources.

Between March 22 and April 29, different cities where the company operates submitted 44 entries on the program's website. The submissions were reviewed and winning projects were selected by a panel that included specialists in water-resource management and representatives of different areas of the company.

Winning community projects cover everything from adding fences, planting trees, rainwater collection, and even creating an app to raise awareness of water use with children. Winners fell into two categories with three projects receiving donations of R$52,000 (Brazilian Real), and seven receiving R$32,000 each.
