Every day, Motorola Solutions' public safety and enterprise customers rely on effortless and reliable communications to keep business thriving and communities safe. They call it their lifeline. Motorola Solutions builds that lifeline with mission-critical services that enable first responders to focus on their assignment. To ensure reliable and secure TETRA communications for the 20,000 deployed police radios at the German Federal State of Berlin, Motorola Solutions has been awarded a 10-year service contract by the Police Force in Berlin. Within the framework of the contract, Motorola Solutions will provide technical support, repair and management services as well as software updates for the deployed TETRA radios used by the police organizations in the German capital of Berlin. The service contract will enable law enforcement organizations in Berlin to minimize downtime, respond efficiently at any time and prepare for future requirements. In addition, Motorola Solutions' Integrated Terminal Management (iTM) enables the automation of tasks such as fleetmap changes and software upgrades and makes it more efficient to audit radio assets and implement software version control. 'This service contract is a milestone in our longstanding partnership with the German public safety authorities and organizations and in particular with the police forces in the German capital of Berlin,' said Axel Kukuk, country manager, Germany at Motorola Solutions. 'With our sophisticated managed and support service offerings, we ensure that mission-critical TETRA communications operate without interruptions so that the first responders stay connected and can focus on their mission when seconds count.'
