NEXA PROVIDES UPDATE ON ITS BALANCE SHEET MANAGEMENT

STRATEGY

Luxembourg, June 30, 2020 - Nexa Resources S.A. ("Nexa Resources" or "Nexa" or the "Company") (NYSE and TSX Symbol: "NEXA") announces that the full net proceeds from its issuance of US$500 million principal amount of Notes due 2028 have been used to repay certain existing financial indebtedness, including the US$300 million revolving credit facility.

Following the debt refinancing, the average maturity of total debt is now over 5 years.

In addition, Nexa has successfully obtained waivers in respect of certain semiannually-tested financial covenants under some of its indebtedness through June 2021. These waivers were necessary as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 on the Company's results.

The US$300 million revolving credit facility remains committed until October 2024. Any future disbursement under the facility will be subject to Nexa's compliance with the relevant conditions, including any applicable financial covenants.
