Nokian Tyres has taken actions to ensure business continuity.

Nokian Tyres and Vianor continue to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak and are taking appropriate measures for our employees, business operations and our customers. Our priority is to ensure the health and safety of our people and to minimize the impact to the customers. Here is an update on Nokian Tyres's approach to managing this situation.

Nokian Tyres is closely tracking updates from global health organizations and following the guidelines issued by local governments in all areas we operate. We are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our employees. We have temporarily suspended all business travel and asked our employees not to have face-to-face meetings. In most of the countries, we have moved to remote work in all the roles it is possible, and in Russia we are preparing for that.

The company has issued self-quarantine rules to our employees traveling internationally on high outbreak areas. All travelers, business or leisure, are expected to stay in self-quarantine for 14 days after returning.

Since the beginning of the outbreak in China, we have activated our global Business Continuity Program and taken all actions within our control to ensure employee safety and customer delivery. Strategic resiliency is the strength of Nokian Tyres' delivery network. We have taken extra precautions to ensure deliveries to our customers and prohibited visits in our factory locations.

Currently, Nokian Tyres raw material supply chain is not impacted by the corona outbreak. We have taken extra risk management measures to mitigate the risk in the supply chain. So far, all our raw materials suppliers operate as normal. However, we do expect delays in transportations due to the blank sailings, but we do have safety stocks that cover the delays, so they do not put our production at risk. We also have back-up suppliers. We follow the situation actively and update the status as it develops.

As of Wednesday, March 18, Nokian Tyres plc is entering into two weeks of employee cooperation negotiations to determine whether some Finland-based employees may be subject to temporary layoffs. The background for these activities is the collapsed demand in the European car and tire market, which is due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The company will provide updates about affected employees after those two weeks of negotiations conclude.
