INTERPIPE continues to ensure its status as one of the largest Ukrainian taxpayers. In 2014, payments to the budgets and extra-budgetary funds of all levels from the pipe and wheel company amounted to 1.124 billion UAH.

In addition, the company provided a timely allocation of war taxes. The total amount of compulsory war tax (that was implemented since August, 2014), paid by Interpipe employees in 2014, amounted to 4.9 million UAH.

Despite the sales decline in 2014, the Company almost maintained the same amount of tax liabilities to the level of 2013. At the same time, the amount of taxes, paid per 1 ton of finished products, increased from 1172 UAH/t in 2014 to 1228 UAH/t in 2015.

The amount of Interpipe tax liabilities exceeded the annual budget of Zaporozhye (1.1 billion UAH), Poltava (1.1 billion UAH) and Ivano-Frankovsk (940 million UAH), and is equivalent to third part of budget of Dnepropetrovsk region. Moreover, this sum would be enough to repair Ukrainian roads - "Ukravtodor" estimates its need for funds of 1 billion UAH in 2015.

"Metallurgy was and remains the major budget revenue generating sector and the reliable partner of the state," comments Oleg Rozenberg, Interpipe Chief Executive Officer. "During this difficult time for Ukraine, INTERPIPE remains a guarantor of stability in the region. The company's enterprises regularly pay wages to 12,000 people and provides orders and work for around 900 other enterprises."
