Following is the text of press release issued by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)

PIA believes in Zero tolerance towards corruption; PIA security in coordination with Airport police identified two employees involved in theft from passengers' baggage and were handed over to Airport Police. A complaint was filled with PIA and Airport Police by husband of a passenger who travelled by PIA from Karachi to Multan regarding theft of valuables from the luggage.

The Police team upon interrogation recovered Rs. 4 lacs from the culprits and a case registered against the accused. PIA security personnel has incorporated measures in collaboration with Airport Police Station to check these happenings and are working in close coordination with SHO Airport Police Station Mr. Kaleem and his team to apprehend such culprits. PIA spokesman concluded.
