Tokyo, Japan - On April 20, 2019, Panasonic Corporation will open a new base in Ginza, Tokyo to promote the LUMIX camera brand with a showroom and a gallery called LUMIX GINZA TOKYO.

At the LUMIX GINZA TOKYO showroom, a wide range of LUMIX brand products will be displayed which visitors can try first-hand, including Panasonic's first LUMIX S Series 35 mm full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera launched in March 2019.
The gallery will be a space to display photographs and videos, and there will be numerous works by professional photographers and videographers who love to use LUMIX products. The base will expand a new photograph and video culture through professionals' works that have transcendent expressive capabilities and depict images with moving sensibility.

Additionally, seminars to introduce new products and events will be held in collaboration with corporations and prominent photographers, and along with making suggestions for enjoying taking photographs and making videos with LUMIX products, LUMIX GINZA TOKYO will aim to be a space for people who love photos and videos to come together and interact. The showroom will also provide the LUMIX Concierge Services. In these services, LUMIX specialist staff give one-on-one advice and offer consultations on repairs to further increase customer satisfaction.

The support service site for professionals will be relocated from its current location in Akihabara, Tokyo, to a location in the Ginza area close to LUMIX GINZA TOKYO, and will begin operations on April 22, 2019 as LUMIX PRO Services.

People from all over the world are expected to gather in Tokyo as it hosts the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. Panasonic will accelerate initiatives to become a camera brand loved by fans of photos and videos from around the world by enhancing and upgrading the support system for professionals in addition to promoting the LUMIX brand to the world from LUMIX GINZA TOKYO.
