  • Three different designs that offer the customer various alternative targets according to their recipient and sales channel: online commerce, display or gift


The Europac Group has developed a new collection of packaging for the wine sector adapted to different sales channels according to the commercial needs of the customer. The three designs are geared for display, gift or online commerce.

The Marco design, particularly ideal for highlighting the image and product brand, consists of a hollow double-skin box that can be manually assembled and which frames the bottle, allowing it to be seen - showcasing the product whilst protecting it from impacts. This is marketed together with an exterior re-packaging box made of a sheet of double cardboard that protects the product throughout the distribution and sale process.



Europac has also developed the Pack Duo, a die-cut box with a semi-automatic bottom and a lid with interior folds that serve the dual purpose of protecting the content and offering the packaging a premium image. The high quality printing on both the inside and outside of the packaging enhances the image and brand positioning of the wine. The box, perfect for gifts, carries two bottles of wine in separate pockets to avoid breakages caused by clinking against one another. As in the previous example, this can also be accompanied by a re-packaging box as an additional protective measure throughout the product distribution and delivery process.



Last but not least is the noteworthy model specially designed for the online sale of wine, characterised by an interior structure of corrugated board, with tabs to avoid direct contact by the bottles with the inside of the packaging, creating an air chamber that absorbs potential impacts in the transport and delivery process. The largest cava producer in Spain, which uses this type of packaging for its online sales, states that it has experienced no breakages, thus avoiding additional replacement costs and enhancing customer loyalty through an improved service and user experience. In addition, it incorporates an untamperable seal that is only broken when the box is opened for the first time, thus avoiding it being opened by third parties without leaving a trace.

Raúl Graña, Director of the Packaging Division of Europac, points out that "these three models provide a response to the new structural and graphic design needs of customers, offering differential added value according to the specific needs of each customer in a highly competitive market. As a common denominator, in an environment in which online sales are acquiring greater weight, these three models are a guarantee of product safety in the transportation and distribution process".
