           Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain
           Officers.

Peabody Energy Corporation (the "Company") is filing this amendment to its Current Report on Form 8-K filed on July 16, 2020, which reported the appointment of William "Bill" Champion to the Board of Directors (the "Board") of the Company. At the time of Mr. Champion's appointment, the Board had not appointed Mr. Champion to any committees of the Board.

On July 28, 2020, and effective on such date, the Board appointed Mr. Champion to the Audit Committee and the Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Committee of the Board.
