PepsiCo : and Feed the Children Extend Partnership with First-Ever Visit to Denver Where 32,000 Pounds of Food and Essentials Will Be Distributed to Families in Need

DENVER, Sept. 24, 2018/PRNewswire/ -- Eight hundred Denverfamilies in need will receive enough food to supplement meals for a week plus daily essentials, thanks to a partnership between PepsiCo and Feed the Children. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. MDTat Denver Inner City Parish, 1212 Mariposa St., Denver, Colo.
This is the first year PepsiCo and Feed the Children have partnered to help feed families in Denver, where more than 19 percent of the population lives below the poverty line1. This distribution event is part of a larger initiative between the two organizations to help feed communities in cities throughout the United States.
The receiving families have been identified and preselected by Denver Inner City Parrish, a community-based non-profit organization transforming the lives of children and adults in the Denvermetro area through programs that interrupt violence, disrupt poverty, and empower socio-economic progress.
A special grant from the Albertsons Safeway Foundation will be presented to the Denver Inner City Parish.

One 10-pound box of personal-care items

Quaker Oatmeal
Quaker Chewy Granola Bars
Volunteers from PepsiCo, Safeway and Denver Inner City Parish and Feed the Children will be onsite serving families and assisting with distribution during today's event.
