In the midst of the crisis, CEOs reinforce support for the initiatives of the entity, which brings together companies operating out of the oil and gas industry in actions for the climate.

Our CEO, Roberto Castello Branco, and the other 11 CEOs of companies that are members of the OGCI (Oil and Gas Climate Initiative), published, this Tuesday (May 26), an open letter reaffirming the oil and gas sector's commitment to the entity's mission at this time of global crisis in combating the Covid-19 pandemic.

'The crisis is further crystallizing our focus on what is essential: Health, safety, and environmental protection, while providing energy and essential products that society needs for economic recovery,' says one of the excerpts from the letter.

The OGCI, of which Petrobras has been a member since January 2018, is a group led by CEOs of oil and gas companies that aims to conduct an industry response to climate change, gather knowledge, and collaborate with actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

In our Strategic Planning, we set forth ten commitments to the low carbon and sustainability agenda. The plan includes actions to decarbonize processes and products and targets associated with the intensity of greenhouse gases emitted. Check out the full letter.
