Additional Establishment of the Record Date for the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders

As announced on September 12, 2018, Pioneer Corporation (hereinafter "Pioneer") decided to set September 30, 2018 as a record date for an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held within three months from such date. Since Pioneer has been consulting on and discussing conditions to execute a definitive agreement concerning sponsor support with Kamerig B.V. under Baring Private Equity Asia, Pioneer hereby gives notice that its board of directors has today decided to additionally establish a record date for an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders as follows.

1. Record date etc., regarding the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders

Pioneer has decided to set December 7, 2018 as the record date (hereinafter the "Record Date"), in order to determine its shareholders who may exercise voting rights at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held on or after January 1, 2019 and within three months from the Record Date.

(2) Date of public notice:	November 22, 2018
(3) Method of public notice:	The relevant information will be posted on the company
website by an electronic public notice (in Japanese only).

2. Pioneer will promptly announce detailed information concerning the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders once they are decided.
