Stuart will focus on using his technical experience and expertise to support new development opportunities, as well as oversee current renovation projects within the PPHE portfolio.

Following several new successful hotel openings in 2016 and 2017, PPHE currently has several extensive renovation and repositioning projects underway in Amsterdam, London and Croatia, and by 2019 the majority of the Group's hotels will have been fully renovated. In addition, the Group has two new hotels in its pipeline; art'otel london hoxton and art'otel london battersea power station which will allow the group to introduce the lifestyle brand to the UK market.

During 2017, PPHE undertook a number of strategic transactions including the sale and leaseback of Park Plaza London Waterloo and successful refinancing raising circa £85 million in excess cash for future development and growth. In addition, the company completed a successful IPO of new shares in its Croatian subsidiary, Arena Hospitality Group, which raised €106 million of new capital for portfolio investment and growth. These activities have allowed the Group to free up capital and reshape the business to pave the way for future redevelopment and growth opportunities.

Most recently, 28 June 2018, PPHE announced its move to a Premium Listing on the London Stock Exchange, which is recognised by investors as the highest quality listing obtainable and so PPHE hopes to leverage this reputational enhancement going forward, which includes the development arena.

The strengthened team includes Dilya Ryskeldinova, who has been promoted to Acquisitions and Development Manager, Andrea Genfeld, Acquisitions and Development Manager, and new hire, Elizabeth Chen, Acquisitions & Development Associate.

Sabina commented: "PPHE is focused on developing a strong development pipeline as well as exploring new property acquisitions to grow our portfolio of branded Park Plaza and art'otel hotels. I am delighted to have an experienced and strengthened team in place to ensure the Group is well positioned to capitalise on new opportunities that come to market."

Stuart added: "PPHE has continued to see considerable growth across all areas of the business in recent years and is exploring a number of opportunities within the current portfolio and new territories, both in continental Europe and outside. I am looking forward to rejoining the team and working with Boris Ivesha, our Chief Executive Officer and Sabina to drive client-side support in both technical services and project management."

In addition, the team will continue to support Arena Hospitality Group, one of Croatia's best-known hospitality groups in which PPHE Hotel Group has a controlling ownership interest.

The acquisition and development team is located across PPHE Hotel Group's corporate offices in London and Amsterdam.
