JAKARTA--Mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals (>> PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk) said Wednesday that its consultant reported significant mineral resource estimates at its copper-and-gold project in Gorontalo, Sulawesi.
The resource estimates were completed by Australia's SRK Consulting at the Cabang Kiri and Sungai Mak sites, which are parts of a concession operated by PT Gorontalo Minerals, the company said in a statement.
Gorontalo Minerals is 80% owned by Bumi Resources Minerals and 20% owned by state-owned miner Aneka Tambang (>> PT Aneka Tambang Tbk).
The Cabang Kiri and the Sungai Mak sites have a combined 292 million metric tons of ore resources, with average grades of 0.5% copper and 0.47 gram of gold per ton, the SRK report said.
Bumi Resources Minerals is 85% owned by coal company PT Bumi Resources.
