PTBA HAS SIGNING COAL TRANSPORTS CONTRACT ABOUT 130,1MILLION TONS WITH PT KAI

PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk or PTBA has signing a coorperation contract with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI ) for coal transport by 130,1million tons within period 2017 to 2021. The coal transported from PTBA's mine in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatera to deliver in Tarahan Coal Port Bandar Lampung and Kertapati Barging Port in Palembang. The contract agreement has signed by CEO of PTBA, Arviyan Arifin and CEO of PT KAI, Edi Sukmoro in Jakarta on Friday,June 9th 2017 it's which correlates of synergize amongst the SOE's

Regarding by the agreement itself, this year the PT KAI targeted at 21,7 million tons which will be ramping­ up gradually. Within this agreement has mentioned on both sides concurred to assign Coal Transport Plans along 2017 to 2021 about 130,1million tons.

The contract transport for 5 years from 2017 to 2021 which constitutes with inheritance contract from Long Term Contract Transport started from 2009 to 2029 amongst PTBA and PT KAI, consequently the contract has been implemented to 5 years from 2017 to 2021 has been obtained the peak escalation commitment volume to become 30 million tons per annum which will be implemented on 2020.

In 2016, PT KAI coal transports to the PTBA recorded by 17,7 million tons, each 14, 7 million tons to the tarahan coal port terminal and the rest about 3 million tons to the Kertapati barging port. The escalating of railways capacity transport against to PTBA's coal realated to PTBA's production grew plans which consistently boosting up within to fulfill long-term supplies contract, which have been recorded by 574 million tons for domestic customer.

The Tarahan coal port terminal within coal handling has fully supported by three jetties, of each one of three jetties have supported to capsize which capacity 210.000 DWT. Furthermore, Tarahan Coal Port which have the biggest jetty in National term so, it's made to be more competitive to serve the customers . Additionally, The Tarahan coal port also supported by one jetty which able to lean with panamax ship or having capacity 80.000 DWT and one barging port which capable to 10.000 DWT.

An operational of tarahan coal port also fully supported by four Rotary Car Dumper as unloading and loading wagons equipment which is made coal loading activity could be able to Four series of carriages coincide. Whilst, the three stockpliles in the port which have capacity around 1million tons. to vouch of operational reliability and effieciency, The Tarahan Port supported with own 2x8 MW Coal Fire Power Plant
