PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Tbk : PTBA Held Bukit Asam Innovation Awards 2018

PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk or PTBA again held Bukit Asam Innovation Awards (BAIA) for the third time. This innovation event was held with the theme 'Innovation for State Enchantment'. Through this theme, its expected that the innovation can contribute positively to our beloved company and this country, Indonesia.

The implementation of BAIA 2018, marked by the BAIA Grand Opening 2018 held at GSG PTBA, on Wednesday night (13/09). Previously after the Independence Day Ceremony of Indonesia (17/08), began the launch of BAIA 2018 which marked by a miniature demo of the mine and the release of balloons by the Director of PTBA, Arviyan Arifin.

As a State-Owned Enterprise, PTBA needs to contribute to the development of science and technology and innovation to accelerate national economic growth. Not only development about science and technology, but also innovation in the present is an urgent to become a company culture and strategy. This is prompted PTBA to hold Bukit Asam Innovation Awards. Not only that, the organization of BAIA is also a corporate plan to transform and continue to grow with the community and the environment.

Just like BAIA in 2014 and 2016, BAIA 2018 held an innovation competition which can be participated by internal and external participants of PTBA. PTBA's internal participants are from PTBA employees, subsidiaries and grandchildren of PTBA companies and affiliates. For internal participants, the categories contested are conceptual and implementation. While for external participants is divided into two, namely the closest partner and high school / vocational / MA students.

The closest partner participants include outsourced workers, partners, and practical work students. The categories contested for the closest partner participants are conceptual and implementation. While the participants of SMA / SMK / MA include group of students from SMA / SMK / MA in Muara Enim and Lahat districts. The categories contested are biological sciences and engineering sciences.

At BAIA 2018, registration of participants is done through the BAIA website at http://baia.bukitasam.co.id/baia for internal participants of PTBA or through http://223.25.102.22/baia/ for external participants. Registration of BAIA 2018 begins in October 2017 by collecting proposals and documents to the committee.

Incoming proposals will be selected and verified. Aspects of assessment at BAIA 2018 includes administration, innovation, benefits, and the impact of these innovations. Furthermore, awarding to the winners of BAIA 2018 will be submitted at the event of Inneration of Bukit Asam Innovation Awards 2018 in February 2018. The winners will get a trophy and coaching money. In addition to the innovation competition, the BAIA 2018 also held various activities such as workshops and briefing for innovation agents, workshops for innovators from SMA / SMK / MA in Muara Enim and Lahat, to innovative work exhibition from BAIA 2016 innovators and BAIA 2018 nominees.

It is expected that through this activity BAIA can encourage, motivate and create conditions and civilize PTBA employees and stakeholders as well as elements of society to constantly improve competitiveness through creativity, innovation, and improvement. Not only that, BAIA also encourages all employees of PTBA to continue to innovate in carrying out its duty to build Indonesia.
