(Uniondale, NY - April 18, 2019) - In honor of National Lineman Appreciation Day, April 18, 2019, PSEG Long Island is taking the opportunity to thank electric workers for everything they do each day for the company, community and customers.

'From blue-sky days to dangerous storms, our linemen and women, electric service personnel, substation workers, damage assessors and other PSEG Long Island first responders are always at the ready and on the job,' said John O'Connell, PSEG Long Island's vice president of transmission and distribution operations. 'When residents are told to stay safe inside due to dangerous weather conditions, our dedicated electric workers are outside working 16-hour shifts to repair and restore service. Thank a utility worker on this Lineman Appreciation Day - and every day. They deserve it.'

PSEG Long Island has 2,400 employees, including more than 500 in-house and contracted linemen, all of whom play a vital role in ensuring that customers have the best-in-class service that they expect and deserve.

To participate in honoring all electric workers and their families on social media, use the hashtag #thankalineman and tag @PSEGLI.
