- PulteGroup, Inc. (NYSE: PHM) today announced two additions to its Charlotte division leadership team, naming Curt Hathaway (top photo) vice president of construction operations and Fred Matrulli (bottom photo) vice president of land acquisition. Both come to Pulte with proven track records in residential construction and real estate development in the Charlotte area. 'We are excited about the potential to expand our Charlotte operations, and their insights and experience with homebuilding in this market will be invaluable as we execute on key market opportunities.'

Hathaway most recently served as Director of Production for Dan Ryan Builders in Charleston, SC with responsibility for production team performance and standards. He has held numerous leadership roles with national homebuilders in the Charlotte area including CalAtlantic Homes, Alan Simonini Homes and Comstock Homebuilders. Hathaway also founded and led the residential builder Providence Partners of NC for ten years. Serving as principal, Hathaway was responsible for securing financing and overseeing all building operations. He began his residential construction career in Pittsburgh in 1994. Hathaway attended Southern Wesleyan University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Matrulli comes to Pulte from Lennar Homes, where he held key land acquisition and development positions in the Charlotte market for Lennar, as well as Standard Pacific and CalAtlantic Homes prior to the companies being acquired. In these positions, he took a leading role in managing the strategy and execution of land acquisitions. He previously served in leadership positions with Forest City Enterprises' land group, with responsibility for managing the region's land portfolio and real estate development office. Matrulli began his real estate and construction career in Charlotte in 1996. He holds a B.A. in Landscape Architecture from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.
