RaySearch Laboratories AB (publ) announces that Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) has entered a new era of cancer treatment by replacing its former photon planning system with treatment planning system RayStation®*. The adaptive workflow functionality and multi-criteria optimization capabilities of RayStation will help sustain RBWHs position as one of the region's most-advanced treatment centers.

RBWH is the largest medical facility in Queensland, Australia, employing more than 8,000 multidisciplinary staff across a range of clinical areas. The hospital is known for its preeminent cancer treatment using a broad spectrum of advanced treatment types.

Chosen for its adaptive workflow functionality and multi-criteria optimization, RayStation will provide RBWH oncology specialists with innovative tools to treat different cancer types in the most-efficient and precise way possible with its Varian** treatment machines.

Representatives of alphaXRT, the official RaySearch distributor in the region, which is responsible for the deal, consider RayStation the most-advanced solution available and has the tools to equip RBWH to deliver the very best in innovative cancer treatment.

Johan Löf, founder and CEO, RaySearch, says: "Cancer treatment is evolving quickly, and we are pleased to support Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital staff in Queensland with a treatment planning system uniquely designed with adaptive workflows and multi-criteria optimization to meet the needs of busy hospitals."

The order was received and mainly generated revenues within Q4 2019.
