Realtek Semiconductor : to Demonstrate Full Range of Connectivity, Multimedia, and Consumer Electronics Solutions at 2016 CES

Apple Homekit Ecosystem and Google Ecosystem Solutions
Realtek provides a total IoT solution (Ameba (RTL8711A) and iCOM (RTL8871AM) with various hardware resources and open platform architecture. Realtek has collaborated with major companies and successfully engaged with multiple IoT ecosystems. At 2016 CES, Realtek will demonstrate two key smart home systems: Apple Homekit and Google IoT ecosystem solutions. The former is the solution for Apple HomeKit devices and the latter provides the world's first Linux-based Google IoT gateway, designed by our customer with Realtek's assistance, to implement Google IoT protocols on Linux OS. Latest AC1200 Router/Repeater Solution
The RTL8197F is a world-leading 28-nanometer process SoC router processor. It offers a high-speed processing engine MIPS 24K 1GHz CPU, integrated 2x2 802.11n Wi-Fi, DDR2 memory (64MB/128MB/32MB), and rich peripheral set. It is combined with the RTL8812BR Wi-Fi chip (the world's first 28-nanometer process 2x2 802.11ac with MU-MIMO function), to become the world's first 28-nanometer AC1200 router/repeater total solution with low power consumption, strong computing power, long transmission distance, and MU-MIMO function.

Bluetooth LE Application for Smart Home and Entertainment
The Realtek Bluetooth LE application (RTL8762A) is a BT4.2 Low Energy QFN32 5mmx5mm SoC that includes an ARM Cortex-M0, 2Mbit eFlash, Voice ADC, and IR Tx/Rx. It also supports the OTA/UART/SPI interface. It is ideal for controlling a Smart Home as it requires no directional pointing of the controller device. The Bluetooth remote control can control TV, STB, air conditioner, and other smart appliances. It also offers Bluetooth Voice, which can be used, for example, to voice control a remote Toy Car, or to voice control a room's Mesh Lighting.

4K Smart HDR TV Solution
The RTD2999 4K Smart HDR TV Solution integrates the latest HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology to deliver wider color range and greater contrast for an enhanced viewing experience. It provides a multi-core 64-bit ARM CPU and high-performance 3D GPU and supports the Android-5.1 platform and the HEVC/VP9 4K60p 10-bit video decoding standard. All 4K TV panel interfaces, including VB1, EPI, and mini-LVDS are supported. A comprehensive set of I/O interfaces (HDMI-2.0/HDCP-2.2, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-3.0/USB-2.0, UART, IrDA) allow for highly flexible TV applications.

4K HDR Home Media Center Solution
The Realtek 4K Smart HDR Home Media Center SOC (RTD1295 series) offers the latest generation HEVC/VP9 4Kp60 video decoding technology with HDR10 capability to deliver wider color range and greater contrast for an enhanced viewing experience. The solution embeds a multi-core 64-bit ARM CPU and multi-core high performance 3D GPU that allow users to experience the best in big-screen premium visual entertainment and enjoyment. In addition to video streaming, the RTD1295 series also incorporates a router function to extend Wi-Fi/Ethernet connections in order to provide the best Wi-Fi coverage. It helps to link a variety of mobile devices, including smart phones, tablets, laptops, etc., allowing users to remain connected on all their devices while viewing premium videos, music, or photos.

Motion & Voice Sensor Fusion DSP for Mobile Devices
Realtek's RTS3110 is a highly integrated motion and voice sensing solution with high-performance and low-power consumption that make it ideal for mobile devices such as Smartphones, Tablets, and Wearable Devices. It embeds a high-speed, low-power 32-bit DSP core and Realtek Voice Activity Detection (VAD) for motion sensing and voice wakeup/recognition detection. By combining the motion and voice functions into a single chip, system design complexity of always-on motion and voice sensing applications can be greatly reduced.
