Reliance Communications Ltd. (532712.BY) said Tuesday that India's bankruptcy court has approved the appointment of Anish Nanavaty as the resolution professional for the company.
Mr. Nanavaty will replace Pardeep Kumar Sethi, who was acting the interim resolution professional since May last year for the Indian telecommunications operator currently undergoing an insolvency resolution process. The National Company Law Tribunal's order on the appointment was pronounced orally on Friday and a formal order has yet to be published, the company said in a statement.
The court's approval follows a vote by the company's creditors to appoint Mr. Nanavaty as the resolution professional on May 30, it said.
