REN Redes Energeticas Nacionais : wins the Cooperation prize at FACIM Mozambique 2018

REN was honoured in this year's edition of the Mozambique - Portugal Cooperation Awards, in the Electrical Infrastructure category, within the context of FACIM (Feira Agropecuária, Comercial e Industrial de Moçambique - Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Fair of Mozambique).
The ceremony took place on the afternoon of 27 August, in Maputo, and was attended by the Secretary of State of Internationalisation, Eurico Brilhante Dias. The Minister of Trade and Industry of the Mozambican Government, Ragendra de Sousa, chaired the session, which also awarded GALP, in the Energy segment, Arquimoz, in the Construction category, Betar in the Engineering area, and Visabeira in the Tourism sector.
This Prize is an initiative of the AIP Foundation, which, yearly, honours the companies and personalities who most contribute to revitalise the sector, with innovative projects and internationalisation efforts.

REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais, SGPS, S.A. specializes in the operation and concession management of the Portuguese electricity transportation network. Net sales break down by activity sector as follows:
- electricity (63.7%): transportation of electricity from producers to end distributors and consumers, management of the electricity transportation network (connecting user installations to the network, maintenance of the network, etc.). At the end of 2022, the network has a total of 9,424 Km;
- gas (34.8%): transportation of natural gas from producers to end distributors and industrial consumers, underground storage of natural gas, receiving, storage, and regasification of liquid natural gas (LNG), infrastructure construction and maintenance services, etc.;
- telecommunications (1.3%);
- other (0.2%).
