Paris: Leading global esports organisation, Team Vitality and Group Renault are delighted to see Renault Vitality come up second in the Rocket League European Championship Season 9. Victor 'Fairy Peak!' Locquet, Alexandre 'Kaydop' Courant and Yanis 'Alpha54' Champenois finished off a dominating 8-1 regular season with a well-fought final against Dignitas, who lifted the trophy.

The Frenchmen secured a podium finish earlier this Sunday after beating FC Barcelona 4:1 in the semi final, but fell short 2:4 in the last game of the day, outclassed by their rivals Dignitas. Renault Vitality's players have each shown excellent individual performances with Fairy Peak! and Alpha54 being awarded the Golden Striker and Clutch Playmaker respectively. During the last regular week of the season, Fairy Peak! also broke the record for most goals in a single game, by scoring a total of 8.

This latest achievement also marks a string of competitive success for Renault Vitality, who were crowned winners at Rocket League Season 7 World Championship and runners-up at Rocket League Season 8 World Championship after narrowly missing out against NRG in a 3:4 final.

Renault Vitality continues to showcase their incredible talent and I'm happy to add another Rocket League international podium to our record. Congrats to all the players and coaching staff who have worked so hard to make this possible. I also want to thank our lead sponsor Renault who have been a huge support to the team and key in helping us develop our player's performance.

said Fabien 'Neo' Devide, President & Co-Founder, Team Vitality.

This new podium earned by our Renault Vitality squad shows once again the value in developing a professional ecosystem to help our athletes achieve their performance goals. We're glad to be able to continue working with the Vitality team, combining their esports expertise and the unrivalled sporting knowledgeof Renault DP World F1 Team. Thank you to our players for your great performance, and proudly representing the Renault and Team Vitality colours.

Since its inception, the partnership has seen incredible increased performance levels with a last to 4th place finish in the 2019 F1 Esports Series Championship and now another Rocket League Championship victory. In 2020 the team was renamed Renault Vitality to illustrate the growing strength of the partnership.
