MONTREAL (AP) _ Resolute Forest Products Inc. (RFP) on Thursday reported a first-quarter loss of $1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Montreal-based company said it had a loss of 1 cent per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 33 cents per share.
The maker of paper and wood products posted revenue of $689 million in the period.
The company's shares closed at $2.38. A year ago, they were trading at $7.83.
