TORONTO (August 15, 2019) Hold on to your hats as Citytv sweeps into fall with Dick Wolf's blockbuster stack from the Windy City - Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD; confronts injustice in Bluff City Law; hits a high note (or not!) on Perfect Harmony; and reunites the paw-fect cop-and-canine duo for Season 2 of Canadian original series Hudson & Rex. Boasting five of the season's most anticipated new series, three new-to-Citytv series, and 11 returning hits, Citytv is bound to whisk you off your feet this fall, beginning Monday, Sept. 16.

DRAMAS

Citytv blows away the competition on Wednesdays with all-new seasons of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD, starting Wednesday, Sept. 25. Treating critical cases and ethical dilemmas with high doses of courage and compassion, the medical staff at Gaffney Chicago Medical Centre tackle new challenges in Season 5 of Chicago Med. Starring Jesse Spencer (House), Taylor Kinney (Vampire Diaries), and Monica Raymund (Lie to Me), a slew of new emergencies transpire for the firefighters, rescue squad, and paramedics of Firehouse 51 in Season 8 of Chicago Fire. In Season 7 of Chicago PD, Det. Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe, Californication) and his Intelligence team are challenged in new ways as their every move is watched by citizens, politicians, and the government.

Headlining Citytv Monday nights is the buzziest new drama of the year, featuring a father-daughter legal team who tackles the toughest David-and-Goliath cases that Memphis has to offer. Starring Jimmy Smits (NYPD Blue), Caitlin McGee (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Barry Sloane (Revenge), and Michael Luwoye (The Gifted),Bluff City Law premieres Monday, Sept. 23.

And Citytv's highest-rated original scripted series - reaching 4.1M viewers in its original full-season run* - returns with more action and heart when Season 2 of Hudson & Rex moves to a new night, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 24. Produced by Shaftesbury and Pope Productions Ltd., in association with Citytv and Beta Film GmbH, production on Season 2 of the police-procedural drama - starring John Reardon, canine Diesel vom Burgimwald, Mayko Nguyen, Kevin Hanchard, and Justin Kelly - is now underway in St. John's, Nfld. Also garnering international acclaim, Season 1 of the Canadian original series was recently acquired by Italian broadcaster RAI, which premiered on Rai 3 on August 4. Additional major territory deals will be announced soon.

COMEDIES

Premiering Tuesday, Sept. 24, all-new 30-minute spinoff comedymixed-ish tells the childhood story of a young Rainbow Johnson (Arica Himmell, Thanksgiving) in this prequel to beloved Citytv favourite black-ish. Narrated by Tracee Ellis Ross (black-ish), the series takes viewers to the 1980s as 'Bow' and her siblings navigate the challenges of figuring out who you are when the rest of the world can't decide where you belong. Then, Bradley Whitford (The West Wing) and Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) take centre stage when the smart and hilarious new comedy Perfect Harmony finds a group of singers that are out of tune in more ways than one, beginning Thursday, Sept. 26.

Joining the animation domination Sunday nights on Citytv, all-new animated series Bless the Harts premieres Sunday, Sept. 29, starring Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids) as Jenny Hart, Maya Rudolph (The Good Place) as Betty Hart, and Jillian Bell (Workaholics) as Violet Hart. Always broke and forever struggling to make ends meet, the Harts may not have much, but with friends, family, and laughter they might have everything they need.
