ROK Stars PLC, the consumer products and environmental technologies development company, has announced its portfolio of Bavarian Beers have been awarded a further 4 Gold Medals by the Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (German Agricultural Society).

This follows the award of 6 Gold Medals in 2015.

Every year over 27,000 foods and beverages from Germany and other countries are tested by the DLG. Only foods of above-average quality receive the DLG awards of Bronze or Silver and only the most outstanding receive DLG Gold awards.

ROK Stars acquired the majority interest in the historic 700 year old Aktien Brauerei in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria in May 2013 and has since re-designed and re-packaged a range of beers for international export under the brand 'ABK Beer - Since 1308'.

Commenting, Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman of ROK Stars said 'We are enormously proud that our beers continue to be recognised and rewarded for their outstanding quality and taste as such awards are key to the global deployment of our beers which, for the first time since the brewery was founded in 1308, are now available in new markets such as China, the United States and Singapore.'

With a growing drinks portfolio which, in addition to ABK Beer, includes UB Real Irish Whiskey and Bogart's Real English Gin, ROK Drinks was co-founded by John Paul DeJoria, known as 'America's favourite entrepreneur,' and British entrepreneur Jonathan Kendrick with a mandate to 'build the mega-brands of tomorrow, today'.

John Paul DeJoria is best known as the co-founder of Paul Mitchell, the largest privately held hair care business in North America, as well as being co-founder of Patron Tequila, the world's Number 1 premium tequila brand.
