Shell Petroleum Development Co. of Nigeria has declared force majeure on exports from the Bonny Light pipeline in the west African country.
According to an emailed statement, the force majeure has been declared because of a leak which has closed the Nembe Creek Trunk line. Force majeure has been in force since 12.00 Nigerian time on May 10.
Repairs on the trunk line are being carried out by AITEO Eastern E&P Company, according to the statement. No details were disclosed about how long the repairs could take.
