In a TV advertising market which was estimated to be slightly down, the operating profit (EBITDA) of Atresmedia decreased by 2.5 per cent to €116.5 million, while net profit was €84 million, up 0.1 per cent compared to the first half of 2016.

Atresmedia's family of channels recorded a total audience share of 26.7 per cent in the period (H1/2016: 27.4 per cent). In terms of prime time audience in the main commercial target group, Atresmedia was leading the Spanish TV market with a combined audience share of 30.5 per cent. Flagship channel Antena 3 achieved a 12.9 per cent total audience share in the period, practically stable compared to the first half 2016 (13.0 per cent).

The TV advertising market share of Atresmedia remained stable at 42.9 per cent (H1/2016: 43.0 per cent).
