Ryanair, Europe's No. 1 airline, today (03 April) celebrated the first flight on its new twice weekly Cardiff service to Malta. Ryanair's Cardiff summer schedule includes 5 routes in total, with three new routes to Malta, Barcelona and Malaga.

To mark the start of this new Cardiff route and the official launch of the summer season, Ryanair has released seats at prices starting from just £24.99, for travel in April and May, which are only available for booking on the Ryanair.com website until midnight Sunday (7th April).

Ryanair's Alejandra Ruiz said:

'After the launch of flights to Barcelona yesterday (2nd April) Ryanair's exciting start to the summer season at Cardiff Airport continues today with the launch of flights to Malta.

'The island is a stunning holiday destination in the Mediterranean and a hidden gem, with a pleasant climate, a busy calendar of events and a rich history to explore. What's more, there is a thriving Maltese community in South Wales, so these flights will serve as an ideal connection between both countries. We look forward to the start of flights to Malaga when they begin in June.'
