PG&E in turmoil. The energy company collapsed on the stock market because of the Californian fires, after being implicated in a complaint alleging, among other things, that the group should have cut off the power to avoid worsening the situation. In addition, 15 minutes before a fire was reported among the trees north of Sacramento, a PG&E power line in the area went offline. The company stated that if it were to be held liable, it would be exposed to significant losses that could not be compensated.

The European car sector is still suffering. ACEA revealed this morning that registrations fell by -7.4% in Europe in October, confirming the major impact of the entry into force of the stricter standards on September 1. Volkswagen was particularly penalized. Peugeot held up better than Renault.
