HANNOVER, Germany - SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced it will debut its Design to Operate showcase at Hannover Messe, taking place April 1-5, 2019.

The showcase is a massive, 300-square-meter factory of the future that will provide attendees an opportunity to experience how an idea can be transformed into an initial design, then developed into a real product as it moves through the industry's most integrated digital supply chain process.

The live showcase will demonstrate how an industrial product - the Evoguard double-seated valve - moves through the planning, manufacturing and monitored operation processes using SAP's unique customer-first approach. SAP's Design to Operate demonstration will show how manufacturers can use the power of Industry 4.0 to deliver the experience their customers desire through end-to-end integration, collaboration and visibility.

'Our customers trust us to show them what's ahead,' said Hala Zeine, president of Digital Supply Chain at SAP. 'With 47 years' experience as an enterprise application leader, as well as deep technology expertise, we understand the impact of technology on business processes that will shape the future unlike any other player in the industry. A great customer experience starts with sales and marketing but relies on a streamlined supply chain to deliver on that promise with a great product experience. Our new Design to Operate showcase brings to life how a customer-centric intelligent supply chain serves as a growth engine for businesses, with unmatched speed and precision.'

The demonstration will include real-time data insights that show how products are performing, so operators can provide suggestions for redesign or pivot production as needed. As part of the showcase, SAP will also host a live forum where customers such as Kaeser Kompressoren and NETZSCH will speak about how they use the power of digital supply chains to create predictive enterprises - including SAP Asset Intelligence Network available at SAP.com and SAP Store. Read more in 'Create an Intelligent Enterprise with Simplified and Digitally Connected SAP Asset Intelligence Network.'

'As a 146-year-old company, we understand that evolution is critical to survival,' said Bernhard Diemer, senior consultant at NETZSCH. 'SAP has enabled us to drive innovation with SAP Asset Intelligent Network, which delivers full visibility and transparency into the performance of our assets across the globe. We've seen the benefits of digital transformation first-hand with our growing customer base. This showcase is living proof that SAP's approach is changing the way manufacturing organizations operate.'

The Design to Operate showcase is the result of a collaboration between SAP and 25 of its partners. Technology from startups including 4tiitoo, Kinemic, Arkite, Serva TS, Daqri and Quadrica is integrated into the showcase to show how customers can better optimize manufacturing processes - across assets and employees - for greater agility and responsiveness.
