BARCELONA - SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that it has launched an innovation program for partners to build and go to market with new applications that augment the rich functionality of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. The partner innovation program is designed for customers in microverticals within priority industries, such as professional services and manufacturing.

The program will help partners extend the intelligent capabilities of SAP S/4HANA Cloud using the open and agile SAP Cloud Platform. Moreover, SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK, a software development kit that supplies partners with all the productivity tools and templates they need for quick innovations, makes the development process even faster. SAP will co-market these solutions with partners to help them drive new business growth and profitability.

Initially, SAP will engage with a group of select partners, then extend the program in the second half of 2019 to all partners focused on SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

'Many of our customers are asking for an intelligent enterprise resource planning solution that not only addresses broader industry needs, but also supports their unique microvertical business challenges,' said Franck Cohen, president, Digital Core & Industry Solutions, SAP. 'They want a solution from out of the box to help them thrive. The SAP ecosystem and partners - one of the strongest networks of its kind in the world - will play a critical role in helping us meet the needs of our customers in very specific markets. We are committed to empowering and supporting our partners, so they can successfully build and market solutions that are complementary to our core SAP S/4HANA Cloud software.'

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is one of the most complete cloud ERP solutions today. A digital-age user experience, AI-powered automation and next-generation business processes also make SAP S/4HANA Cloud the most intelligent ERP offering available in the market.

Building on SAP's deep industry expertise and over 40 years of market leadership in the ERP space, SAP S/4HANA Cloud is trusted by customers, such as Deloitte, Spain's top football league LaLiga, pladis (home of iconic brands such as Godiva) and positioning technology company Topcon Corporation. The solution was recently recognized as a leader in the 2018 ERP Technology Value Matrix by Nucleus Research, attaining the top position in terms of functionality.

SAP partner Beyond Technologies is already using SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK to develop extensions.

'SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK significantly enhanced the development process for extensions for SAP S/4HANA Cloud,' said Leonardo De Araujo, partner and chief technology officer, Beyond Technologies. 'Instead of manually implementing all required code to handle oData service calls, the SDK generates them automatically for us. With this, we have been able reduce development by up to 50 percent.'In

Partners interested in the program should contact their SAP partner business managers to learn more and discuss use cases.
