Schroders is today announcing that it has diversified its Solutions business with the appointment of a dedicated private assets investment specialist.

Ped Phrompechrut has joined as a Solutions Manager, a new role, based in London. He will report into Neil Walton, Head of Investment Solutions.

Ped will work with clients globally to provide investment strategy and portfolio construction advice, with a particular focus on delivering private market solutions.

He was previously a Director at Willis Towers Watson where he was Head of Private Market Solutions. In this role, Ped oversaw the full private asset class spectrum, including private equity, real estate, infrastructure and private credit.

Schroders private markets business has been a strategic growth priority, providing clients with greater exposure to alternative investments and diversification across more illiquid asset classes.

Neil Walton, Head of Investment Solutions, Schroders, commented:

'Ped's hire is a further example of Schroders' commitment to providing tailored investment solutions for institutional clients.

'In particular, Ped's experience of managing combinations of private assets is relevant as more of our clients look beyond traditional asset classes to help them deliver the returns they require to meet their liabilities.'

Ped's appointment follows the recent hire of Patrick O'Sullivan from JP Morgan Asset Management, focusing on cashflow-driven investment.

Schroders' Solutions business manages around £77 billion globally[1], with its expertise spanning liability-driven investment, CDI, risk-managed investments, income enhancement, derivative overlays and Fiduciary Management.
