Reston, Va., July 30, 2018 - Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) hosted more than 70 small businesses for an outreach event focused on IT Modernization on July 24.

The SAIC Small Business Development and Utilization Office (SBDUO) event included remarks from SAIC CEO Tony Moraco, as well as keynote speaker Trey Hodgkins, senior vice president of the Information Technology Alliance for Public Sector (ITAPS). Sanjay Sardar, SAIC vice president of IT Modernization and Digital Transformation, also provided an overview of SAIC's IT Modernization strategy before small business representatives had the opportunity to participate in one-on-one sessions with SAIC customer group and market segment leaders.

'SAIC is committed to helping the Federal government meet its IT Modernization priority, and this event is a great step,' said Sardar. 'Our transformative technology solutions and deep mission understanding have put us at the forefront of IT Modernization, and we pride ourselves on finding and integrating our small business partners into that vital innovation ecosystem that enables us to bring solutions that are customers are looking for.'

SAIC's deep mission experience has allowed our company to successfully modernize IT for government customers such as the Department of Agriculture (USDA). SAIC has been supporting USDA agencies for 20 years, and our employees are working diligently to achieve Department-wide IT objectives. Our customer, the Risk Management Agency, recently received praise from the General Services Administration (GSA) Cloud Center of Excellence as the most well-positioned agency within USDA to move to the cloud.
