MERRIAM, Kan. (AP) _ Seaboard Corp. (SEB) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $175 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Merriam, Kansas-based company said it had profit of $149.91 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $87.24 per share.

The pork production, processing and ocean transportation company posted revenue of $1.81 billion in the period.

For the year, the company reported net income of $283 million, or $242.78 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $6.84 billion.

Seaboard shares have dropped 11% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $3,799, increasing slightly in the last 12 months.
