Senvion Appoints Yves Rannou as Chief Executive Officer

Hamburg: Senvion S.A. ("Senvion") today announced the appointment of Yves Rannou as Chief Executive Officer effective March 2019, at the latest. Rannou will take over from acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Manav Sharma, who will continue in his role as Chief Financial Officer.

Rannou is a seasoned leader who brings to Senvion over 20 years of global senior executive experience in the renewable energy industry at GE and Alstom. He was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Renewable Energy's Hydro division, a position he held since November 2015. Prior to his time at GE Renewable Energy, he worked for 18 years at French-multinational Alstom, until its acquisition by GE in 2015. During this time he functioned as Senior Vice President of the hydro business, as well as Senior Vice President of the wind business, where he was in charge of all activities related to onshore and offshore wind. He also served as a member of Alstom's Renewable Power Sector Executive Committee.

About Yves Rannou:
Yves Rannou was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of GE's Hydro Solutions business, and was also a GE Company Officer.

Yves began his career at Alstom in 1997 and has continuously strengthened his leadership expertise by serving project management expertise through a series of positions. Among these he has served as Quality Director, deputy General Director of pump-turbine activities, Head of project execution, Project Director for global structural projects, and Managing Director for China, all for in Alstom's Hydro business.

In 2014, Yves was appointed senior Vice President of Alstom's Wind business, based in Barcelona and was responsible for activities related to onshore and offshore wind and became a member of the Renewable Power Sector Executive Committee. In 2015, Yves was appointed Senior Vice President of Alstom's Hydro business in addition to his SVP role in the Wind business.

Yves holds a Master of Science in mechanical and electrical engineering from the Sorbonne University in Paris and an engineering degree from the ESTP. He has also obtained Six Sigma Black Belt certification and a diploma from INSEAD-AMS.
