The restaurant plans to hire 20-25 additional staff able to work early morning and late night shifts.

Steak 'N Shake has about 600 locations, mainly in the South and Midwest. The chain is now expanding to the Mid Atlantic.
Restaurant chains have been eying Middletown with its large population of families and higher income households.
Earlier this year, fast-growing Florida-based Metro Diner, opened its second Delaware location in Middletown. Metro's other New Castle County diner is in Ogletown, near Christiana Hospital. To check in on the opening date, click on the restaurant's Facebook page.
