Siltronic AG has joined the 'Wirtschaft für ein weltoffenes Sachsen' (Business for an outward-looking Saxony) association.

As one of the largest employers in the district of Central Saxony Siltronic AG intends to send out clear signals.

'We are a globally active company and perceive huge potential in the diversity of our employees. We are convinced that this diversity is a key factor in Siltronic's success. We decidedly reject xenophobia and discrimination,' as Dr. Christoph von Plotho, CEO of Siltronic AG, stated.

Since its inception in 2016, the 'Wirtschaft für ein weltoffenes Sachsen' association has made it its mission to counteract xenophobia and such tendencies, as well as promoting the integration of people moving into the area, thereby contributing to stronger economic performance in Saxony.

Through its membership, Siltronic AG is committed to developing a business network that is open to the world and to further promoting Saxony as a location embedded on an international scale. 'The success of our location in Freiberg thrives on dedicated people in the region. It doesn't matter where their roots are. We are delighted about each and every individual who wants to take part in this success and finds a new home and a life worth living in Saxony,' as Dr. Christina Heedt, plant manager of the Siltronic site in Freiberg stated.

Around 800 employees are currently active at the site in Saxony. In 2004, Europe's largest 300 mm wafer factory was opened here.
