Singapore, 31 October 2018 - Singapore Press Holdings Foundation (SPH Foundation) will host the seventh edition of the SPH Foundation National Primary School Championships for the Junior Division on 2 and 8 November 2018. The Girls' Finals will be held on Friday, 2 November at Junyuan Primary School and the Boys' Finals will be held on Thursday, 8 November at Farrer Park Primary School.

Organised by Tchoukball Association of Singapore (TBAS), the event comprises two categories, namely the Senior Division (for boys and girls aged 13 years and under) which was played in May 2018, and the Junior Division (for boys and girls aged 11 years and under) which will be played on 2 and 8 November.

Tchoukball is a non-contact team sport that was invented in 1970 and emphasises on speed, teamwork and strategy. It involves a unique set of rules and elements of volleyball, basketball and handball. The sport can be played by anyone regardless of varying physical and sporting abilities.

The sport is swiftly gaining popularity with over 37 associate clubs registered with TBAS and is now being played in more than 130 schools across Singapore.
