With its inLab Train the Trainer program, Dentsply Sirona CAD/CAM has been working since 2006 to ensure that dental technicians from all over the world are up-to-date on the latest CAD/CAM developments. From Oct. 18 to Oct. 21, 2016, the Bensheim site was again selected as the central hub for this popular course with great success: Sixty participants from Europe, Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina visited the center of competence in the Bergstrasse for a week of intensive training to become newly certified Dentsply Sirona instructors.

The inLab instructors from the North group return from Bensheim well trained to pass on their skills and enthusiasm to their colleagues back home.

Bensheim/Salzburg. To make the most of advances in the field of digital dentistry, ongoing education in the field of CAD/CAM technologies is an absolute must. The Dentsply Sirona inLab components occupy a key position in many labs around the world. For this reason, for several years now Dentsply Sirona has been offering centralized courses for dental technicians working as inLab instructors in their home countries. They are officially certified by Dentsply Sirona as inLab instructors. The inLab Train the Trainer program gives participants important knowledge about all the inLab hardware and software components, focusing on current solutions in the fields of scanning, design, construction, materials and the general digital workflow from the practice to the lab. The program makes participating instructors well qualified to carry out courses in their home countries. With their expertise, the technicians can properly inform and train inLab users around the world.

This year, in mid-October, 60 international inLab instructors arrived at the Dentsply Sirona site in Bensheim for the Train the Trainer meet-up. This presented as the perfect time to train the instructors on the detailed use of the inLab CAD and CAM 16.0 software as the software was released in November with new applications and functions, and improved user processes.

As well as the official, tightly scheduled training program, the pleasant and relaxed atmosphere posed a good opportunity to share information with international colleagues and the Dentsply Sirona staff team, all brought together by inLab.

'We are delighted again and again by the enthusiasm and commitment that participants bring to the Train the Trainer events,' enthusiastically explained Laetitia Mariet, Global Marketing Manager, Labside & Digital Impressions at Dentsply Sirona CAD/CAM. 'This is surely in part due to the fact that we deliberately involve our inLab instructors in organizing the courses. In the end, this teamwork does not just have a positive effect on the atmosphere but it also really adds to the success of the learning process.'
