In the presence of Shri Nand Lal Sharma, CMD (SJVN) and Shri I. S Jha, CMD(POWERGRID), the Contract Agreement for 'Project Management Consultancy Services for Transmission System associated with Arun -3 Hydro Power Project in Nepal' was signed at New Delhi by Shri S K Sharma CEO,SAPDC and Shri Anil Mehra, ED(IB) POWERGRID.

SJVN Arun-3 Power Development Company Pvt. Ltd. (SAPDC) is a fully owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited, executing 900MW Arun-3 Hydro Electric Project in Nepal. In addition to Generation component of the project, SAPDC is also committed for construction of 400 KV transmission line from Diding (Nepal) to Bathnaha (Indo-Nepal Board) consisting of 217.76 KM within the Nepal territory.

The Contract Agreement Signing Ceremony between POWERGRID & SAPDC (A fully owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited) was also attended by Shri R. K Bansal, Director(E)SJVN, Shri Kanwar Singh, Director(C)SJVN & Shri K Sreekant, Director(F)POWERGRID along with Independent Directors of SJVN Dr Rajni Sarin, Shri Ganesh Dutt and Shri Pravin bhai Patel.

The agreement signed for Project Management Consultancy services for execution of 400 KV Double Circuit Transmission Line from Diding to Batlinaha (Nepal India Border) via Dhalkebar Sub-Station in Nepal and Construction of 400 KV Substation at Dhalkebar(Nepal) for evacuation of power from 900 MW ,Arun-3 HEP ,Nepal.

POWERGRID shall complete the execution of the Project in 48 months from the date of signing of the agreement. The agreement is signed based on presently approved work cost of the project of INR 953 Crores (excluding taxes & duties).
