SoftBank Group Corp. said Tuesday it will sell its shares in T-Mobile U.S. Inc. as part of a plan to raise 4.5 trillion yen ($42 billion) to buy back its own stocks and reduce debt.

The Japanese technology conglomerate will sell up to 198.31 million shares in the U.S. telecom firm. The price at which it will sell will be determined later, SoftBank said.
