Tuesday, January 15th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.607, nearly two cents above Monday's closing price of $3.591. Tallying the intraday high of $3.611 as markets opened, the contract stepped lower through the morning after surging higher on Monday. Marking the intraday low of $3.451 at 11:30AM, a jump above the $3.55 level near midday ultimately gave way as currents fundamentals directed February lower, closing down at $3.501 on Tuesday.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 49 cents; Natural Gas was up nine cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
