Monday, September 17th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.794, two cents above Friday's closing price of $2.767. Ascending from the intraday low of $2.794 within minutes of opening, prices surpassed $2.810 at 10:00AM and recorded the intraday high of $2.830 thirty minutes later. Reassessing fundamentals as new developments in storm-affected areas became known, the contract was able to maintain the morning's gains to close higher on Monday at $2.184.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 95 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was up three cents; and, Gasoline was up three cents.
