Global design firm Stantec recently announced the appointment of two new regional business leaders and one expanded leadership role in their Buildings practice. Megan Holmes and Dean Kaardal have been promoted to regional business leaders for the US East and Canada West, respectively. Marc Perreault, the current regional business leader for Quebec, has expanded his responsibility to include all of Canada East.

Megan Holmes, AIA, is transitioning from her seven-year role as managing leader for Stantec's 100-person Philadelphia architecture/engineering practice. She is committed to effective collaboration and creative planning to achieve successful design and business outcomes, evidenced through a number of long-term client relationships throughout the region. Holmes is a Founding Board Member and Treasurer of the Professional Women in Construction's (PWC) Philadelphia Chapter, and a recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal's 2018 class of Forty Under 40 leaders.

Dean Kaardal, P.Eng, is a 30-year Stantec veteran whose most recent role was alternative project delivery sector lead for Buildings. He leads business development efforts for large multidiscipline opportunities focusing on client management, project delivery best practices, strategic planning and high-level design, and management support. Kaardal is a skilled communicator and has presented at many industry events including the World Health Conference and Canadian Design Build Conference.

Marc Perreault, P.Eng, expands his leadership from Quebec operations to Stantec's Canada East region. He brings more than 26 years of engineering experience and a diverse background in building design and development, as well as in industrial and service development projects. Perreault has led various large-scale projects across Quebec, in the United States, and abroad. He is committed to the welfare of his community and its residents, and is directly involved in many local and abroad organizations such as CISC (jury member), Fondation of Charles-Lemoyne Hospital, Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC/AFIC), and the construction of an orphanage in Haïti (Étang Rey).

'Our regional business leaders combine strategy, business acumen, and management excellence to drive the success of our Buildings practice,' said Eric Overton, Stantec's senior vice president for Buildings. 'Megan, Dean, and Marc will inspire and motivate our teams to deliver buildings that make a lasting impression on our communities.'

Megan, Dean, and Marc join current regional business leaders Rory Picklyk (US West) and Mike Toolis (US Central).
