Steico Zell, a woodfibre insulation and Steico Floc, a cellulose insulation are now available from Miller Pattison across the UK. Both insulations are primarily for use in 'closed' panel timber frame wall and roof systems ideal in the commercial, house builder, self-build sectors as well as larger construction projects such as schools where a timber frame system has been specified.
Craig Leggett of Miller Pattison said 'The addition of the Steico blown insulation gives us two fantastic products to offer to our Timber Frame customers. Both Steico Floc and Steico Zell have great thermal performance as well as being vapour open, which allows the building to breathe improving internal air quality and also have a high thermal mass, meaning they protect the building from overheating as they store heat during the hottest part of the day and don't allow it to pass into the structure providing a much more stable and pleasant internal temperature. An additional bonus is that both insulants have the highest environmental credentials - Steico Floc is made from recycled newspapers and magazines whilst Steico Zell is made from FSC certified woodfibres.'
Bill Miller of Steico said 'We are delighted to be partnering with Miller Pattison, an acknowledged expert in blown insulations with a nationwide network of depots able to offer Steico natural insulations to customers across the UK either on or off site.'
