SThree PLC, the leading global STEM recruitment business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Holden to the newly created role of Chief Strategy and Development Officer, reporting to Mark Dorman, Chief Executive Officer.

This further strengthens SThree's Senior Executive Team following the appointment of Matthew Blake as its Chief People Officer in April this year.

Based at the SThree's King William Street headquarters in London, Kate will oversee the strategic planning process and successful delivery of SThree's group-wide strategy. Working with the executive team and Board, she will lead the implementation of strategic programmes across the Group.

Mark Dorman, CEO of SThree, said: 'I am thrilled to welcome Kate to the team as our first ever Chief Strategy and Development Officer. Kate has an extensive background in strategy and a strong track record of driving business performance. Her extensive experience in designing and implementing group wide strategy has delivered growth, increased market share, improved performance and delivered sustainable results across a variety of sectors including technology. We look forward to benefiting from her broad expertise as we take the business into its next stage of growth.'

Kate joins SThree from the City & Guilds of London Institute, where she most recently worked as interim Chief Product, Technology and Customer Experience Officer. Prior to that, she was SVP and General Manager ELT at Pearson plc where she led the division's transformation from print-based publishing to a digital business. Kate has also held senior roles at various global businesses including LexisNexis, a division of RELX PLC, International SOS and The Financial Times.

Kate Holden commented: 'I am delighted to be joining SThree at this exciting time. SThree is a company uniquely positioned to meet the demand for STEM skills globally. The combination of leading brands, a strong focus and purpose to bring skilled people together to build the future, proved a very compelling opportunity for me. I look forward to working with a great team to identify new growth opportunities and achieve substantial and sustainable results'.

As previously announced on 1 July 2019, a process is also underway to identify a new COO.
